Trying To Plan

Well, I've been in the regular grind lately. Getting lots of Zumba in, but not so much of my C25K training. It's difficult to find time to be out on the road & it's been pretty cold. I know, I'm a wimp with excuses (LOL). Anyway, for now, I'm prepping for the transition of working for the remainder of the year. I'm trying to look at the rec center schedule & determine if there are any classes that I'm willing to try. If all else fails, I know I can always walk the indoor track. I know this is the part where you all are saying, "An indoor track?? Get your booty out there & do your C25K training!!!" Of course, I know that I should, but I'm afraid that they might call the paramedics to help me when they all heard my asthmatic sounding breathing when I try to jog. Oh well, I guess I need to learn to get over all my self conscience worries & just get out there. Have a great week!!

Clarification.

I realize from the anonymous comment that was made, that I wasn't clear in my previous post. I am not trying in any way to decrease my water consumption - I realize that I should be drinking more water in order to get healthier & lose weight. I was simply pointing out that I had failed & doing this. I guess that I just wasn't that thirsty & didn't think about making myself drink anyway. I think this happens to people a lot in the winter time. We don't get as hot, unless we've just completed a workout, & we just don't think about consuming as much water. Anyway, since it was taken that I actually decreased my water intake in order to lose weight, I thought that I would point out that I am a little smarter than that. By the way, Zumba class was great today!

Crazy Weigh Ins

Ok, I made Zumba on Tues morning & last night & am getting ready to head out in a little bit for this morning's class. My husband has had a 6 day weekend due to cold temps & snow & we have done nothing but eat (or at least if feels that way). My weigh-in this week was officially only down 1/2 lb from last weeks, but I've been hitting the scale nearly every morning & I'm fluctuating between a pound less than my official to a pound more - it's driving me nuts. Now, I've always fluctuated a lot & that's why I try not to let curiosity get the best of me & get on the scale more than once a week, but I just can't help myself. My water consumption is down - heck, my liquid consumption is down. Could it be that my body is a little dehydrated & holding onto any water weight it can? I don't know, but I can't stand for it to be up. I guess I'll try to up the water & make sure I get my cardio in & let next week be whatever it is. Have a great week!!

Got It Done!

Finally I'm back on track with the C25K training. I got out there in the snow today. Granted, there wasn't a lot of snow, but it was spitting on me the whole jog/walk so it still counts. Hmm, does this make me hard core? LOL Probably not yet, but I'll get there. Hope you all have a great week!

Zumba & Changes Coming!

Well, what have I been up to the last couple of days? Zumba last night & again this morning - have I told you all how much I love this class. I still haven't gotten any jog/walks in - I'll do my best to make up the time this weekend. It is CRAZY cold outside & will be hard, but I'll do my best to get it done. Now, changes are getting ready to hit. I've taken an interim position for the rest of the school year - so my workout schedule is getting ready to flip flop completely. I still have a couple of weeks left to get the morning classes in & then I will have to rely on evening classes & other things, but once June hits - I'll be right back in my morning Zumba classes. Well, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Not much to post.

Well, I haven't gotten a workout in since Sunday :(. I'm really going to have to work on that. Taking Monday off is really no big deal, but on Tuesday I usually Zumba & I wasn't feel too well. I'm still feeling a little sick this morning, I'm thinking that maybe I have a mild stomach bug. I know there's a lot of stuff going around right now. I'm hoping that I feel better this afternoon & can get a jog/walk in when Brock comes home from work. Then, if I am up to it, I'm heading to the rec center for Zumba tonight. On a good note, on my weigh-in on Monday, I was down 3 pounds. This means that I've lost that pesky 2.5 lbs I gained over the holidays + another 1/2. Also, although it's not official & I know that I fluctuate a great deal, I was down another 1.5 lbs this morning. Well, I'm out - have a great week!

Feeling Good!

Woo Hoo - I'm feeling good today! I took a little extra time last night to lay out the girls clothes for church & pack their bag of games/books/snacks to take & we managed to get up & ready ON TIME WITHOUT ANY YELLING!! In my house, this a really big deal since Sunday mornings tend to be chaotic, angry & we're ALWAYS late. After church, we went out to eat with our extended family - I didn't do too bad, I had some tex mex chicken with rice & a greek salad & a couple of breadsticks (probably should have left them off - lol). After we came home, I changed clothes & hit the road for another 25 minutes of jog/walk training as per my C25K training program. I came in & rested for about 15 minutes & then took off to meet my SIL at the indoor track at the rec center & we walked for another hour. I have no idea how much we walked - I didn't keep track of how many laps, but she's tall & I'm short, so I got a good walk in. Now I'm sitting back & taking a little rest time & feeling pretty good. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

I'm Pooped!

I don't know if the dances were a little harder this morning, or if the room was just hotter, but I'm pooped. Zumba was fun, but I sweated my butt off. I need to try to get a jog/walk in today, but it's raining, so I may put it off till tomorrow. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Biggest Loser - Blog Edition!

Woo Hoo - I'm part of the Biggest Loser - Blog Edition. I can't wait to get started. Go Team Lynn!! Time to kick some Team Angie booty (LOL).
Today was Zumba & I sweated through the hour. Tomorrow is probably going to be a rest day - my body is talking to me. Then Zumba again Saturday morning & Saturday afternoon another jog/walk as prescribed by the C25K training plan. Have a great day!!

Another Day Down.

Well, I didn't make Joyce's class this morning as I had hoped. I had a playdate scheduled for the kids & I still had some things to finish up before they came, so I couldn't get done & still make class. That's ok, I'll just make sure I get there next week - who knows, maybe I'll try to make her Friday class. I did manage to get in my C25K training this afternoon, so the day is not a total loss. Well, I've got to shower & get ready to take the girls to bible class. Zumba tomorrow! Have a great evening.

It's Like Riding a Bicycle.

It all comes back to you. I haven't been to Zumba in 3 weeks & was a little worried that I might not remember some of the steps. But for the most part, it all came right back to me. It took a little more out of me again since I haven't had much in terms of cardio in the last 3 weeks. In addition, I went upstairs to the weight room & worked my legs & back a little. I decided not to do arms since I'm planning on going to Joyce's scult & abs class tomorrow & I didn't think they could take it two days in a row - lol. Well I hope you all have a wonderful afternoon! Oh, & yes Tonya, I promise I'll be there on Saturday.

Thank You Brock!!

Well, I can thank my husband that I got my running training in today. I really didn't feel like it. I felt sluggish & it was quite cold outside. Aliza had fallen asleep in my arms & I had a million other excuses why I could've skipped the jog/walk training. But, my wonderful husband gave me a little push without being too pushy - he simply said that he would watch the kids while I did my run first & then he'd do his second since I took top priority. By the way, he ran with me the other day too & we're kinda hoping that this turns into something we enjoy doing together. Brock & I neither one have a whole lot of hobbies, so this would be a great healthy hobby for us to have together & eventually include our kids in. Anyway, the jog/run was a little easier today & I feel so much better after doing it. Tomorrow is Zumba - yipee, I've missed this. I'm on my way to a great year!! Hope you all have a wonderful evening!

I Did It!

Well, I've started on my to learn how to run. I'm using coolrunning.com's training plan "Couch to 5K." For most people, the initial plan is probably a piece of cake. You start out with a brisk 5 minute walk & then alternate between 60 seconds of jogging & 90 seconds of walking for 20 minutes. Sounds easy enough, right? Well let me tell you, I'm not most people - it completely kicked my butt. That's ok, because I finished & I did all of it - just as it called for. Yes, I did it panting heavily & thinking that I might just drop dead right then, but I did it. I'm happy! It's a good start to a new year with lots of new goals.

I may regret putting this out there, but Runningmom suggested I might want to try running in the Murfreesboro Half Marathon in October this year & I've decided that's a great goal. According to coolrunning.com I should be able to run 3 miles in 9 weeks, so surely I can train enough to make a half marathon by October. Any of you who want to do it with me please feel free to let me know. If I know I have others counting on me, I tend to do better. Typically, I will let myself down before I let down others. Well, I'm outta here - have a great weekend!!
