I don't have much to say today, no amazing news or anything. I did go to Zumba class both last night & today. I will say that last night was the toughest the class has ever been. I don't know if it was because it was hot due to so many people or what. I guess I also hung in there a little more instead of modifying when I needed to because there were people I knew, but don't necessarily hang out with, so I was more self concious, especially since once again, I was the biggest in class. Hey, that's ok - these people will be amazed at my transformation before their eyes if they will just keep coming.
I still am not following any food plan & would like any suggestions from you guys out there in blogland. I'm not a real fan or extremely rigid plans, but I need something to follow & just haven't really seen anything (nor have a looked very hard yet) that I love. Since most of you have probably had some experience with a plan I haven't tried before - I'd love to hear from you. Thanks in advance for your help!!

Way to go for hanging in there. My food plan was simply counting calories. That way I could eat whatever I wanted, I just had to log it in for the day. It has worked for me so far. It took a while to get used to measuring things and doing the math, but now I pretty much have everything memorized and don't really have to think about it. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
i've done Weight Watchers three times in the past, and it works every time....for as long as i DO it :) i like the point system. if i had a clue as to where my books and materials were, i'd have mom bring them to you, but i have no idea! you can do it all online. there is also a group that meets at the church bldg, but i think it is older ladies:) you can search for meetings on their website.
i also think the South Beach book is worth reading, but despite the fact that it allows much more than Atkins, i still find it hard to follow...i think, though that the whole idea of lean meat and veggies and high fiber being a large part of the diet is a good one.
I agree with Amy S. counting calories has always worked best for me because it doesn't limit my food choices. A good start from some sites is to figure 10-12x's your body weight in calories for a loss. That might require adjusting from 12x down if you aren't losing. I really like sparkpeople.com for my tracking.
Your doing great though! Keep up the good work.
I vote for clean eating. Lots of fruits and veggies, lean protein. Please make sure to eat healthy fats. Just watch your portions. I don't eat anything with High Fructose Corn Syrup. Natural sugar, not the fake stuff. Just stick with natural foods.
I am also most successful with counting calories. Spark People is great and also My-Calorie-Counter.com. Once you are accustomed to it, apples make great breakfast snack. They will totally suppress your appetite till lunch. Good Luck, Zumba sounds fun!
